He was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. A career scientist turned politician, he studied physics and aerospace engineering. He was intimately involved in India’s civilian space program and military missile development efforts. He’s A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and here are his Top 10 Rules or Success

  1. Learn how to handle failure- He was born in Rameswaram, and studied physics and aerospace engineering.
  2. Imagine the outcome- He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator.
  3. Be righteous- He mainly worked at the Indian Space Research Organisation.
  4. Fight to be you- He came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on missile technology.
  5. Break through limitations- He also played a pivotal role in India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998.
  6. Keep learning- He was elected as the 11th President of India in 2002.
  7. Be a teacher- He had the support of both the ruling party and the opposition.
  8. Work with integrity- He’s widely referred to as the “People’s President”.
  9. Follow your dreams- He was a recipient of several awards, including the Bharat Ratna.
  10. Inspire others- While delivering a lecture, he died from an apparent cardiac arrest on 27 July 2015.
