Prime Minister . . .
Agong can appoint Anwar as minority PM, thereafter Parliament can deliberate if needed on the matter.
Anwar Ibrahim . . .
It can no longer be denied that Mahathir is trying to thwart Anwar Ibrahim.
It makes no sense to include Opposition of Crooks in so-called Mahathir Unity gov’t.
Grand Master . . .
Where Grand Master Mahathir is going, there are no moves. It’s a matter of time, sooner or later.
Time is not on his side, if he has not already run out of it.
Dementia and alzheimer stalks. He won’t remember his own name one of these days.
Alternatively, he will catch a protracted illness, no cure, fall into a coma and go within a month. The blood pressure will drop, the brain would be deprived of oxygen for crucial minutes and there would be irreversible brain damage.
Mahathir is a great tragedy and misfortune who failed in everything he set out to do. That’s why, except for the Gen Y led by those not given seats by BN and PAS to contest, the Malays in Malaya did not vote for Mahathir.
He probably thought the coup by the Opposition on Sun 23 Feb 2020 could fix that. Even there, he failed.
So, short of declaring emergency as in 1969, he degenerated into a variation of Tun Razak, his mentor.
Razak died suddenly in London of leukemia.
Malaya’s karmic forces from the past have caught up with it in the present to haunt its future.
Mahathir will probably not go in a good way.
He and family, all multibillionaires, may be forced eventually into exile in Kobe, Japan.
If the gov’t is willing to allow him to return, if he wants, it can only be in a coffin.
Mahathir is a shameless creature. He had several times described Malays as shameless creatures.
In Japan, he said, the people have a strong sense of shame.
They will commit hara kiri if they bring shame to the family, community, country or the Emperor, noted Mahathir the shameless creature.
Mahathir — membaling batu, menyebunyikan tangan — claims he was not involved in a coup attempt on Sun 23 Feb 2020.
The crooks tried to hijack the Federal gov’t on Sun 23 Feb 2020, no doubt hoping their cases in court can be quashed.
Crooks should be in jail. They should not be at the Istana to have tea and scones and make “buat tak tahu” small talk.
It seems all 222 MPs, including the crooks and those with cases in court, were at the Istana on Tues 25 Feb and Wed 26 Feb for three minute interviews on who is their preferred candidate to be PM.
What’s the point of the crooks being present as well?
The Perak case law is irrelevant. Let the Federal Court rule on the case law.
The Perak case law was also irrelevant on 7/11 in the High Court of Borneo.
The sanctity of the Sabah Constitution prevails.
The Agong won’t be party to illegalities.
Being party to illegalities will bring the Agong’s position into odium, ridicule, contempt and public disrepute.
If anyone turns up clutching SDs, Agong should point in the direction of Parliament and close the Istana gates.
No matter what happens, the Opposition would not form the Federal gov’t.
The Opposition is riddled with crooks facing numerous serious charges in court. Again, they want to hijack the Federal gov’t, no doubt hoping to escape these charges.
Those whom the Gods wish to destroy, they first make mad.
Birds of a feather flock together.
DAP will fight any attempt to plunder the public treasury.
When some people can no longer plunder the public treasury, they will quit politics.
Sanity will return.
Mahathir, as Interim Prime Minister, cannot go on to be PM. Interim PM doesn’t need expressions of support. Agong accepted Mahathir’s resignation as PM on Mon 24 Feb 2020 at 5pm. He sent his resignation at 1pm.
Another MP should be appointed PM. It was touch and go when the Agong advised Mahathir to carry on as Interim PM.
Mahathir’s statement on national TV on Ash Wed 26 Feb 2020 was based on flawed premises.
There’s no race, religion and political party in Parliament, only lawmakers pledged to uphold rule of law — the basis of the Constitution — and duty-bound to serve all constituents.
The only majority in law is the number on the gov’t side in Parliament. The majority across the Divide in Parliament, the majority in demography and the majority in the streets is not the majority in law.
The minority in law is the losing votes in seats in the GE
While democracy gives the majority in law the right to rule, democracy at the same time gives the minority in law the right to be heard in Parliament through non-constituency seats.
Agong can appoint Anwar Ibrahim to head a minority gov’t of 92 MPs i.e. DAP 42, PKR 39 and Amanah 11.
The Agong shall appoint an MP as Prime Minister, who in his opinion, is LIKELY to command the confidence of the majority in the Dewan Rakyat.
Parliament . . .
Alternatively, since no one obtained 50 per cent, Agong should advise a runoff in Parliament. The runoff should be confined to two leading candidates.
Only four Borneo MPs should join the Federal Cabinet to hold the defence, internal security, foreign affairs and Malaysian Common Market portfolios. The other 53 Borneo MPs should form an independent bloc, 3rd Force, in Parliament and support the gov’t on a Bill to Bill basis.
Borneo should not get mixed up in Malaya politics. It’s rotten.
Interim PM scam . .
If Mahathir continues as Interim PM, that’s euphemism for dictatorship. He would be Dictator Mahathir, not Interim PM.
If Anwar does not accept the DPM post, if offered by Mahathir, the political crisis would continue.
There’s no reason for Anwar to be DPM to a 95 year old PM when he can be the PM himself.
Again, Mahathir may not appoint a DPM.
Blessing in disguise . . .
Having said that, the present situation may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, as the chaos will continue until Order emerges. Chaos is good for the people, only bad for ambitious politicians.
The only predictable quality of the universe is chaos.
Gov’t, by its very nature, is evil. Gov’t should be as small and as weak as possible. The people will be safe from the tyranny of politicians.
Elections . . .
It does not matter who forms the Federal gov’t in Putrajaya.
It’s more important that there’s a strong Opposition in Parliament i.e. no two thirds majority for the gov’t party, if possible the gov’t should be a minority gov’t.
At present, we have a hung Parliament i.e. no one has simple majority.
Malaya is split down the middle.
In the GE, there should only be one to one contests.
The result would be 50:50.
One party/coalition would form a weak gov’t, the other a strong Opposition in Parliament.
Indians decide in 67 parliamentary seats in Malaya which has 165 seats.
It’s about keeping the issues alive on Definition of Malay in Article 160, Article 152, Article 153, NEP and local gov’t elections.
In Sabah and Sarawak, add Invoking Article VIII of MA63 for a new form of self-determination, Orang Asal, Adat, Native Court, NCR land and the Orang Asal being plagued by leaders who latch on to Malay and/or Muslim balls to fill their pockets.
Don’t go around encouraging every Tom, Dick and Harry to register as voters and ferry them to the polling stations.
There should be no automatic registration of voters.
Focus on getting rid of the PTI from the electoral rolls and cleaning it up.
Otherwise, focus on the issues, not race and religion. Kimanis and Tanjung Piai are examples of issue-based results.
MA63 is the biggest bullshit going around.
Focus on Invoking Article VIII of MA63.
Focus on bringing back local gov’t elections.
Away from the Federal gov’t, local gov’t elections should be brought back.
Taxes should be levied at the local level only since most development is local.
The state gov’ts should be financially dependent on local gov’t taxes.
The Federal gov’t should be financially dependent on the state gov’ts.
Economy . . .
Banks will call in the loans if security pledged can’t be increased in the wake of the share market drop.
That happened in 1997/98 when the Asian Currency crisis hit, starting with the Thai Bhat, Indonesian Rupiah, South Korean Won and then Ringgit.
Except for Malaysia, all turned to IMF. Malaysia’s debts were mostly domestic. So, it set up Danaharta and Danamodal.
Bankruptcy looms for many companies.
When politics comes in through the door, economics flies out the window.
Malaysia won’t be able to turn to IMF because it, along with Turkey, backed Pakistan at the FATF meeting. China abandoned Pakistan given the Corona virus scare and panic.
The rotten politics in Malaya won’t end until the Federal gov’t goes bankrupt.
Instead of focussing on the economy, Mahathir has been playing rotten politics.
