Sarawak have something similar to this called Nasi Kari Banjir. Almost similar but a simpler version with steamed chicken, braised pork, egg and gizzard. Served with thick curry gravy and spicy dipping sauce.
Hainanese curry rice is a Chinese Singaporean dish consisting of steamed white rice drenched in curry and braising sauce. The dish is often accompanied with other dishes laid on top of the rice such as pork chop, chap chye (mixed vegetables – cabbage), braised pork and a sunny side up.
